2007 - RIVERVIEW TOWERS CANOPY - PITTSBURGH, PA

Riverview Towers is an apartment complex serving the needs of independent older adults. It is located just across the river from the new Waterfront in Pittsburgh. It is in a peaceful country-like setting, yet just minutes from the busy Squirrel Hill shopping district.

We are pleased to have worked with Rothschild Doyno Architects to fabricate and install the entryway canopy which greets visitors. The canopy itself is substantial, with massive supporting posts, and with front and rear decks weighing 6000 lbs. and 5000 lbs., respectively. However, with its modern form, the protection it provides from the elements, mood creating copper-rain-chains and artist thicket as accoutrements, it provides an air of gracious living as a first impression of the complex.
