2009 - GENENTECH BIOONCOLOGY

As part of a national conference showcasing advances in medical research, Technique Architectural Products was contracted to engineer and fabricate a total of 8 custom pedestals to be used in an exhibit for Genentech BioOncology. Genentech BioOncology’s goal is to move cancer therapy research toward a more manageable disease.

In conjunction with Derse Exhibits, Technique Architectural Products engineered an enclosure to house a CPU, exhaust and intake fans, projector, and lens. The enclosure is used as a stage for a spherical touch-sensitive screen displaying Genetech’s presentation. The lens and projector can be adjusted quickly without disturbing the screen above by sliding the outside shell vertically on 4 bearings. By removing 7 plastic thumb screws, the outside shell is removable for extended servicing and calibrating.
